Statement from Siebert Williams Shank Foundation
The Siebert Williams Shank Foundation (“SWS Foundation”) does not solicit financial donations from the general public.
We have been made aware of fraudulent activity where individuals or groups may be impersonating the SWS Foundation to solicit monetary donations from the public via email, social media, phone calls, or other channels.
This is a scam. Any communication that asks you for money on behalf of the SWS Foundation is fraudulent.
If you are contacted by anyone claiming to be from the SWS Foundation and requesting a donation, please take the following steps:
Do not respond to the request or click any links.
Do not send any money or provide personal financial information.
Report the attempt immediately to the appropriate authorities.
How to report fraudulent activity
Federal Trade Commission (FTC): Report the scam at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
The SWS Foundation is funded exclusively by contributions from SWS. We will never ask the public for donations.
