Henry Cisneros Receives Order of the Rising Sun Award

Henry G. Cisneros, Vice Chairman and Partner of Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC (SWS) and a former secretary of Housing and Urban Development and mayor of San Antonio, was honored for being conferred the Order of the Rising Sun with Golden Rays by Emperor Naruhito of Japan.

The Order of the Rising Sun is awarded to people who have rendered distinguished service to the state in various fields other than military service. It is the highest decoration awarded to non-citizens of Japan who have contributed to the well-being of the Japanese nation and who are not heads of state or royalty. Among the criteria for selection for the award is contributions to the stability and development of the international community and contributions to the public interest by developing the economy and industry.
